When you think of a Cairns wedding, you imagine swaying palms, ocean breezes, and the kind of sunshine that makes colours come alive — and this celebration was exactly that.
The day started at Florence House on the Cairns Esplanade, where the girls got ready overlooking the water. The room was filled with excitement and laughter, setting the perfect tone for what was to come

The ceremony took place at the Hilton Chapel. From the very first moment, guests were welcomed with a wave of colour. A pastel-lavender welcome sign with scalloped edges set the tone – soft, stylish, and modern. Paired with fresh floral arrangements and a second sign that read “We’re so happy you’re here!”, the entry became a playful scene.
The backdrop for the bridal party was swaying palm trees framing the space.

Reception was held at the beautiful Wharf One Café right on the waterfront, the reception was styled cocktail-party style. Instead of traditional tablescapes, we focused on creating vibrant focal points that carried the tropical theme.
Guests mingled against the backdrop of the marina, while the tropical styling details wove bursts of colour and texture throughout the space. As the sun set, the waterfront location came alive with glowing lights, music, and laughter.

One of my favourite details was the statement signage — playful pops of purple and yellow that perfectly captured the couple’s fun spirit. At the base, we layered vibrant fruit styling — pawpaw, citrus, dragonfruit, kiwi and blooms mingling together — which instantly added texture, colour, and a little unexpected whimsy. It was bold, fresh, and very “Rusty's Markets”.
This was a wedding about celebration. The styling wasn’t about formality — it was about creating an atmosphere that encouraged guests to connect, dance, and soak in the Cairns magic. Every detail was curated to feel fresh, tropical, and full of life.
Congratulations to Ash & Bill - I am honoured you chose me to be part of your celebration of love.
